I haven't held a sand dollar for nearly three years. When I was a kid living on Marathon key, we used to pick up sun-bleached ones by the bucketful. I remember painting them and giving them as valentines to some of the folks in the area where we lived... at the time, I had no idea that it was the dessicated skeleton of a five-jawed sea creature related to the sea urchin. That makes me think that they're even more cool now. I never thought about it, but they'd make a pretty neat sort of decorative scale mail if sewn together.
I've been using BANG! as my interjection (mp3) of choice lately, thanks in part to GP's meddling and Kat's haircut commentary.

It's supposed to get into the thirties at night here, too, for the rest of the week. But that's normal for this time of year in the mountains. I'll bet all those birds who've been flying north lately will be sorry, though.
