GeotargetSampled a local Chinese food place after work last night. Very tasty, and they do general tso's tofu.

I remember winning a full set of shadowrun stuff at a gaming convention years ago. Funny thing was that I never really played shadowrun after that.

Day 44. time eroding my sanity. wearing me down. It's said that the video card should be installed today. I'll believe it when I see it. Oh the melodrama!

Go build your own South Florida snowman over at the Sun-Sentinel.

Maple syrup on coffee ice cream.
Potato chips on vanilla
French fries dipped in chocolate shakes.

Man, what *won't* people on my reading list eat? (well, a fourth won't put pineapple on a pizza.), also a fourth of respondents were male. only looks like a correlation, in actuality, 5 of the 8 pineapple-haters were women, so it doesn't seem to follow my theory of gender bias.

Also, I didn't realize that 4 out of 5 poll-answerers would be women! I wonder if ladies are more likely to reply to a poll than men, or if it's just LJ's skewing more ot the female population?

Sun-dried Tomato and Basil Wheat Thins are yummy, but not healthy at all. Tasty, pizza-ish chips.

Maple syrup on coffee ice cream

That sounds kind of good...

We have been conditioned by years of doing quizzes in women's magazines (like Cosmopolitan).

Yeah...Cosmo quizzes. Heh. I'm pretty sure "Seventeen" mag had them way back when, too. My girlie friends & I would do them together when we were young peeps. "How hot in bed are you?" (yet none of us had ever slept with anybody yet), and "Is he worth marrying?" type stuff. :D

There's a scene in "The Truth About Cats & Dogs", where Uma Thurman's (slightly airheaded) character does a Cosmo quiz and only then, with the help of the quiz, does she realize just how rotten her relationship with her boyfriend is. Makes me chuckle, because I remember as teens we'd take those quizzes, and upon adding up our scores, we would have brainiac epiphanies. ;)

"Sun-dried Tomato and Basil Wheat Thins"

Shutuuuppp! Those sound soooo good. :d

Sun-dried tomato and basil wheat thins are *YUMMY*.

I can devour quite a few, so I ration myself a certain amount in a bowl, otherwise, I could surely plow though a whole box if I wasn't paying attention.

I remember that Cosmo scene... (I've always sort of thought Jeanine Garafalo was a cutie, too)I had no idea those sort of revelations actually came to teeny-boppers!

They used to do that in the wild west!

or, if they didn't, it got ret-conned in one of the western novels I read as a kid.

never tried it... but when I think of black strap molasses, I think of bugs bunny having his cup shot, and saying "funny, I wouldn't have thought it would run in January!"

"ret-conned" am I so old I have no idea what that means?

It's sort of a dork-term, usually tossed around in comic book lingo retroactive-connectivity - means when someone revises history for one reason or another.

You just had a different social life than I did as a kid... probably invovled sunlight and fresh air. :D

Ret-Con my childhood.

Yes while you were expanding your brain I was out back in the creek hitting myself over the head with a stick yelling at my mom to watch "my tricks".

Oh well guess I was wrong about that female tastebub thing, or rather its be with them.

I never have played Shadowrun either, a couple of times I used ideas from a Shadowrun scenario for other games, but Shadowrun itself. It may be the only RPG that was “in” for a while that I never played, oh I’ve also never played in a palladium game, so I guess that makes two.

There's nothing wrong with pineapple in Chinese sweet & sour...pineapple on pizza is the pizza version.

I guess I just don’t like that taste combo, as I’m no fan of Sweet and Sour. I’m much more a General Tso’s, Kung Pao, Garlic Sauce kinda guy.

Man, I'll forgive General Tso his thirty-year reign of bloodthirsty killing of peasants and those horrible things he did to trees, just because his method of preparing food is so damn good.

I was guesisng the same thing, that women would prefer the sweet/salty mix more than men. Who knew?

The closest I came to playing shadowrun after getting that loot was The "Paladin Station" cyberpunk/fantasy game. still like the idea of a huge sub-orbital beanstalk coming down.

I never played "Palladium proper" but I did the Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles game under the same engine.

Nope, no girlie-buds here! (Though I do prefer soda-pop to beer.)

Then again, I prefer Beer to wine, so I guess I have working-class tastebuds.

I'm the same way; I’ll usually prefer a soda over beer and always prefer a beer over wine. I really dislike wine so I'm hard pressed to think of a beverage I'd like less... maybe gasoline or something

I don't mind sangria as a mixer with sprite, but most wine doesn't do anything for me at all.

I'd say that nasty greek stuff that tastes like licorice is my very least favorite bottled booze.
