breakfast...
Nov. 30th, 2000 09:46 pmI'm curious... what comprises the best breakfast in bed?
I like french toast with powdered sugar and maple syrup... some scrambled eggs, cold cereal, and orange juice with coffee....a flower with the morning paper to top it off, while my love snuggles in next to me....
other folks like cream, jam or other condiments with french toast....
what's your ideal breakfast? (in bed or not)

Date: 2000-11-30 06:56 pm (UTC)Maybe a turkey burger.
Cheddar cheese, melted.
Very grilled onions.
A bit of ketchup.
Potato chips smooshed on top of the burger and onions by the bun.
A cold Diet Pepsi, with ice.
That's my perfect breakfast, in bed or not.
Or I could totally go for that right now.
I'm drooling.
Damn, I'm hungry...

Date: 2000-11-30 07:13 pm (UTC)When I was in the hospital, the breakfast I chose the most was bacon, eggs, with a buttermilk biscuit and hot tea. That's one of the things I was allowed to choose for breakfast because of the diet they had me on. It wasn't all that bad, but I'm not that much of a bacon eater.
If a person's going to really eat breakfast, I'd say steak and eggs, with hashbrowns, toast and orange juice.
My perfect breakfast is usually a sandwich, chips and coke.
Breakfast.
Chorizo, scrambled eggs, salsa, tortillas, some extra fresh cilantro on the side with some horchata and Pepsi. And a McDonald's hash brown. I don't know why but they have the best greasy/crunchy ratio.
I've never had breakfast in bed, usually my sweetie and I eat a midnight snack or dinner in bed, and if I got up early enough for breakfast I wouldn't want to have it in bed, I'd like to be awake, showered, dressed, and sitting across the table from John, watching him eat waffles with extra butter and cold cereal with whole milk.
And I wouldn't spill *anything* on my shirt!

Date: 2000-11-30 11:07 pm (UTC)Pop tarts are the best raw. I remember when I was six years old, we spent the summer in Minnesota while my dad was on a job. My mom and older sister went to Oregon, and my brother was working with my dad. So it was just me and my fifteen year old sister. She usually gave me pop tarts, (raw, because the trailer didn't have a toaster)kaboom cereal, or fruity pebbles mixed with chocolate syrup. I got my first cavity that year. Heh.
So now that I've rambled off subject, what's your favorite pop tart flavor?
