Talked with Val yesterday... Rhonnie (22) is dating her paramedic instructor (38). Kind of gross, but I don't know the whole story. I'm just glad that she's happy and having a good time. Russ is doing well, looking for places to do his residency. Grew a beard so that he wouldn't look so "doogie houser". $15,000 just in flights around the USA looking for a place to set up his gig. He's going to have to be a doctor to pay off all of the debt he's accrued, it seems.

Kreuger gets out of jail this weekend, but the sex offender thing is going to follow him until he gets cleared. I honestly wonder if he's innocent.

Police called me up, looking for my bro to act as state's witness... I was right about my guess regarding my brother's "accident". He was badly beaten up by someone that didn't like his smart mouth. I contacted the office in charge of the case, (who left a subpoena at my old address) and passed along my bro's phone information. I suspect this might be why he's moving north, too... it's probably just not safe for him to be in this neck of the woods anymore. Maybe a severe beating is what it took to get him the hell out of Dodge. I hope he can keep his stuff together.

Never did get to hit the movies yesterday.. just went grocery shopping with RS and her kidlet. Man, I thought my bill was bad.. try feeding a family of four with two hungry, healthy growing kids! Narnia might happen today, if the stars are right.

I have a 39 year old friend who married a 19 year old. I have to say, despite the "ick" factor, they seem steady and hugely happy. I don't know what kind of odds I'd lay for longevity though....
I am sorry about your brother. I am mostly sorry that you are always right about how bad it is.
I do hope that you get to see Narnia today...lose yourself for a couple of hours, buddy :)

Thanks! Narnia was very keen, indeed. I wouldn't mind if it turned into a franchise to do the rest of the series, or at least the more movie-able of 'em.

A 20-year span is just sort of creepy, but if folks are happy, more power to 'em!

I'm sorry that I'm too-often right about the bro, but hopefully I'll guess he's better and be right then, too.

BOth my close girlfriends are women in their 30's who are married/dating men in their 50's/60's. My one GF at law school insists that my professor and I are a match despite the fact that he is 61. I just don't know what to think of that---love is love I suppose--it doesn't really make sense when it happens.

I'm sorry to hear about your brother--I hope he stays good and hidden and that the hiding helps him get straight---I will always hope. I've watched someone I love very much destroy his talent with that drug and I still hope after years and years that he will regain his health and abilities--it looks good now but I always hold my breath when I've not heard from him in a while.

Now do me a favor and go see that Narnia movie--I can't go see it yet although I'm dying to--and I want a full Scotto movie review! (And if you get around to it tell me how the "gay cowboy/not a gay cowboy" movie is as well) :D

Narnia was cool.. a nice way to burn a pair of sunday midday hours.

I probably won't bother with the "are they gay" cowboy movie until it's on netflix. :D Narnia has a big battle scene and huge vistas that I think do well on the large screen.
