Ahhhhh! :::backs up quickly:::
I can't handle the way they move when they run, and the way they hold their heads. :P

I lived on the water (natural, not man-made), when in Florida,...and never saw any Iquanas! Now, my parents have a massive man-made pond in their backyard...and still no Iquanas. I'm confuzzled & interested. Were those someone's pets?? Or do they roam around only certain parts of Florida?

Any talk of gators? They were in my high school house's backyard...and there are some in my parent's man-made deal now. Surely they gotta show up at yours sometimes too?

I don't like 'em. They bum out backyards, and make them unusable to me. :(

Has Newtie seen all the creatures through the window yet? :0)

They run away from people who get too close... it is freaky how the whole body rises up on the little legs, and they wag/run so fast! To see them swimming in the water is amazing... I think they're better swimmers than runners!

No Gators! Animal control would relocate 'em if that were the case. Too dangerous for the community. There are a lot of older retired folk who'd calla cop on any alligator that decided to show up.

I think the iggys were a pet that bred and took up residence... the big daddy is huge... an orange-yellow one who must weight abotu 20-25 lbs.

Newt's on the 3rd floor, so only critters he's seen are birdies!

I wonder if a lizard would eat a rat? I know a rat would eat a lizard if given a chance. :D

i don't think I've ever seen an iguana that wasn't a pet.
I knew a girl that had a huge one. she gave it showers and it slept on a heat rock by her bed. it was creepy.

it'd be cool to see 'em swim.

I suspect that these are the descendants of a pet that got away.
