That's a ceramic Cookie Monster that was made for me in the early 70s by the Momster. He's rounded out a little, and smoothed down, holding a daisy and smiling. :)
One of my oldest personal possessions... I'm amazed it hasn't been broken to shards by now.
I was wondering what that was as well but I didn't want you to think I was being nosy---I'ma doof! I LOVE looking at people's living spaces---the whole concept of wondering if you can figure someone out by what they have around them. Almost like the Flckr community--"what's in yor bag" but on a grander scale!
I don't know what it is--whether I try and work out who the person is---or just habit of making observations about people's surrounding based on schooling in social and forensic sciences.
I DO know that anyone that keeps a ceramic cookie monster that his mom made him is a pretty sentimental guy ;)
Can't be worse than my 2 cans of microwave soup (I can't use the water in my new place), popcorn, chunky PB and jelly beans---reminds me of the Thanksgiving feast as depicted in "It's Thanksgiving Charlie Brown"---Toast, popcorn and jellybeans.
Geez I just watched that and I don't remember the taters. Doh! I WISH I had pretzel sticks and ice cream at my place---I've actually been jonesing for pretzel sticks since Thanksgiving--since watching the Peanuts on DVD.
