http://www.geocities.com/st_uss_enterprise/episodes.html - via Joel 'Hello Taxi'

Here are the stories of the first four episodes of Enterprise.

pictures are elsewhere on the same site....I like the lo-tech tonka toy designs.

Some things of note - The sickbay doesn't have those silly workout blocks over it, and I wonder about Porthos, Archer's canine companion. So.. um.. what is that doctor? Looks likt that little elfy guy from voyager.

I especially like the middle top pic, very old school, and neat.

hey! I said deactivate!

Now!

hm.

oh yeah, I want to see all the new superhero shows, .too

mutant x(featuring heroes with density control, telempathy (emotion sense/control), electricity blaster, animal gal(sounds like another pesky cat-girl...see dark angel.), and a smartie leader... or how I like to refer to them - vision (or stone boy & phantom girl's love child), saturn girl, lightinging lad, chameleon, and brainiac 5) , live action tick and smallville too.

dorkus malorkus.

bring back the lone gunmen!

ok. it's out of my system.

MORE RED DWARF!

ok. done, really. Just letting you know that this is the first time I've wanted to watch more than one new tv show, in a loong time. (Since descovering cable. Or ABC's cartoon line up of dynomutt, clue club, and jabberjaw... was grape ape that same year, too? I was maybe 7 at the time.)

all done

nite night.

sweet dreams.

What a weird story -- a girl goes missing a month ago, after being assaulted and then being temporarily hospitalized in a psychiatric unit, and now she turns up and calls home. The nice part of the story is how people have rallied to help the family out and bring the girl home.

bacchanalia \bak-uh-NAIL-yuh\, noun:
1. (plural, capitalized) The ancient Roman festival in honor of Bacchus, celebrated with dancing, song, and revelry.
2. A riotous, boisterous, or drunken festivity; a revel.

Bacchanalia comes from Latin, from Bacchus, god of wine, from Greek Bakkhos. The adjective form is bacchanalian. One who celebrates the Bacchanalia, or indulges in drunken revels, is a bacchanal \BAK-uh-nuhl; bak-uh-NAL\, which is also another term for a drunken or riotous celebration.

ultima Thule \UL-tuh-muh THOO-lee\ noun (NOT JUST THOOL)

1. The northernmost part of the world believed habitable by the ancients.
2. A distant or remote goal or place.

Latin ultima, farthest, Thule, name of a place.

my driver on the way home was smoking a stinky stogie before I got in.

I now must wash, to get the pooy smell out.

I'll elaborate later. ick.

[I'm back]

yuck.

that was foul... 10 minutes in there and the reeking stench of a dollar cigar was permeating every fiber of my clothing my hair and skin.

I'm glad I didn't bring Newtie to work. Cigar stinky-kitty. ugh.

Upon getting home, I hung my fouled gear up to dry, and promptly hopped in ye olde shower...man. what a relief it is to be free of that. I just went near the clothes I'm airing out before putting in the bin, and they reek....

I am so glad that my sweetie isn't a smoker... aside from being a nasty habit and unhealthful.... it ruins the breathing space of others, too.

Anyhow, I'm warm, dry, nice smelling, and have a happy kitty purring next to me now...all is well with the world.

fixer upper update, from here - http://www.livejournal.com/talkread.bml?itemid=9601466&nc=115

The more controversial thing is that we're probably going to limit the number of posts/day and comments/post for free users. We have to decide between the lesser of the evils --- limits or having a site that always appears to suck.[1]

I already mentioned this in paidmembers, but one db slave is now doing nothing but paid user traffic, and it's totally caught up... there should be no lagging if you're logged in.

[1] Update: Relax, everybody ... we're not "cutting off" free users. Stop freaking out ... we understand why LJ is a successful community (we made it, afterall) and we're not going to do anything to bastardize it. Any "limits" we impose will be reasonable... we always collect stats before imposing limits such that 90% or so of people remain unaffected. The limits we're talking about here are temporary ones, to ease the free db servers until the new ones arrive on the 1st
