Registered a PIN for student aid.. I'm going to take a few night courses to keep my skill set honed. If Uncle Sam wants to help defray my expenses, I'm more than happy to let him help out.

Once I get my new PIN, I'll sign up with FAFSA.

Anyone want to take a few courses with me at the Fort Lauderdale Branch of BCC/FAU? I figure I'll put some polish on my certifications.

Can't get my shots with the PCP, so back to referrals it is! It was worth a shot.

Good thoughts for the Lisas rocketing to Texas.

Started reading the newest Harry Potter on the palmtop. Not bad, thus far (admittedly, I'm only about 6% along). The writing is a lot better this time 'round.

Moment of lyric:

In a moment, everything can change,
Feel the wind on your shoulder,
For a minute, all the world can wait,
Let go of your yesterday.

Can you hear it calling?
Can you feel it in your soul?
Can you trust this longing?
And take control,
Fly, open up the part of you that wants to hide away
You can shine,
Forget about the reasons why you cant in life,
And start to try.
Cause it's your time,
Time to fly.

All your worries, leave them somewhere else,
Find a dream you can follow,
Reach for something, when there's nothing left,
And the world's feeling hollow.

Can you hear it calling?
Can you feel it in your soul?
Can you trust this longing?
And take control,
Fly open up the part of you that wants to hide away
You can shine,
Forget about the reasons why you cant in life,
And start to try.
Cause it's your time,
Time to fly.

And when you're down and feel alone,
And want to run away,
Trust yourself and don't give up,
You know you better than anyone else.

In a moment, everything can change,
Feel the wind on your shoulder,
For a minute, all the world can wait,
Let go of yesterday.

Fly, open up the part of you that wants to hide away.
You can shine,
Forget about the reasons why you can't in life,
And start to try,
Start to fly.
Forget about the reasons why you cant in life,
And start to try, cause it's your time,
Time to fly.

In a moment, everything can change.

Yikes, dani got me into wirehog, and it's pretty dang spiffy. If anyone wants an invite to share wacky stuff with me, let me know and I'll send you an invite. (I've got a ton of audio files and such, but I'd just as soon stream from the house rather than fill my webspace, and this looks like a very easy way to do it securely.

Wirehog looks as though it has some similarity to the more elaborate imeem (which requires Microsoft's .net framework, unfortunately. imeem uses advanced encryption, and has a weblog feature that looks about as flexible as LJ, as far as filtering goes.)

Being on dial-up , my computer is offline most of the time, and veerry slow, so I probably couldn't make much use of either of them yet. They look like the sort of thing that's apt to be very popular in the future. I wonder if I'll ever catch up with the technology?

dial-up isn't so bad.. I would imagine that picture-sharing and mp3s wouldn't be too dear on the bandwidth (I doubt you'll be downloading a backup copy of Ghandi or Apollo 13 anythime soon, though)

Imeem looks interesting, too!

I seldom get a speed of more than 5KB per second, and my average upload speed is probably about 3.5KB. I think it's the result of my distance from the telephone company's nearest... whatever they're called (those windowless, nearly deserted buildings full of mysterious equipment.) Anyway, it's more than three miles away along decrepit lines on which trees often fall. It's very sluggish and unreliable service.

Poo, on the shots thing! That seems a bit odd, but I guess every place is different. What a pain, though.

I think it's wacky, too, but I'll just go where the doc tells me!
