I had a lovely meeting with weez and sedef at the outback... they were wonderfully patient, as I was sucked back into the workplace twice to repair an issue with a mailing.
We had tasty food and fun conversation, and got some good hugs out of the deal, too! We chitty-chatted about the usual... lj came up once or twice, and tattoos, and living areas, and Newt, and kids, and Sig-oths that've done jail-time. I also learned about the spoon-hitting thing. It was fantastic to see them, and hope to do so again soon! Funny how the Hobo-sign for kind lady is a crudely-drawn kitty.
Added bonus, Newtie got a big load of toys and treats. I'm doling them out a little at a time.. (in a Strawberry Shortcake Bag, too). Sakes, Miss Shortcake is coming up a lot this week!
The biggest toy is this really nifty glove-thingum with internal elastics and an array of different dangling stuffed doohickeys on each fingertip. A "Freddy Kruger for cat lovers" kind of device. I haven't broken that out yet... Orange boy's especially in love with a tiny-tiny purple dog... it's made by the same folks that make his toy flea, and Newt has already taken to carrying the toy around the house, stopping occasionally to lay down, grip it in his teeth, and disembowel it with his rear claws.
