Sort of puts perspective on things while looking at the different things that are going on. I'd like to figure out what hour of Friday and Saturday nights things start getting crazy.
i've been thinking lately --- & that link above reminded me --
people proved they can stand up and fight for something they're against (deaths in recent war)... but i've never seen people standing up and fighting with that same *passion* & by the 1000's upon 1000's for better safekeeping from crimes that result in daily deaths across the u.s.
You're right... very few people stand up for the people starving in our streets. You rarely hear about it on tv.. how people that are local are dying every day from not having proper medical care or having enough to eat, too.
I was for people protesting...(Thought I would mention that in case someone misunderstands where i'm coming from). Just don't understand how that same passion (from both sides of the political fence), isn't applied to mass protests full of 1000's of people for what goes on here daily. It puzzles me.
There are so many causes.. the news seems to have certain pets.
Plus, a lot of people don't like to think that bad stuff is happening in thier own back yard... "feed the starving in africa" when there's people that need help four blocks away.
