VS interrupted my vacation yesterday for about a half hour for input on how to recover a lost document. I missed my bus to my blood appointment, but she was kind enough to haul me over after being a pain in the butt.
The document was never recovered.
Something about the situation that made me think was when I asked her how long would it take her to recreate the doc.. she said she's just going to do it on Tuesday.
If it could wait, why did she call me on my vacation?
That topic will come up in conversation before morning meeting.
Some chores to do this morning and then I can spend the day with MP. Good incentive to get moving.
Moment of Lyric:
Hope there's someone
Who'll take care of me
When I die, will I go
Hope there's someone
Who'll set my heart free
Nice to hold when I'm tired
There's a ghost on the horizon
When I go to bed
How can I fall asleep at night
How will I rest my head
Oh I'm scared of the middle place
Between light and nowhere
I don't want to be the one
Left in there, left in there
There's a man on the horizon
Wish that I'd go to bed
If I fall to his feet tonight
Will allow rest my head
So here's hoping I will not drown
Or paralyze in light
And godsend I don't want to go
To the seal's watershed
Hope there's someone
Who'll take care of me
When I die, Will I go
Hope there's someone
Who'll set my heart free
Nice to hold when I'm tired
Just in time for the 4th of July - flickr sparkler pictures. - I'm impressed by the penmanship in aloha, especially since it was probably written backwards.
Quote of the day "He smells like wet tech support and onions."
Wacky "tag-cloud" based on my recent lj-entries still needs work.

Pirate Radio Station Shut Down
Florida Department of Law Enforcement special agents and Federal Communications Commission investigators have shut down a pirate radio station after determining two men allegedly were interfering with a licensed radio station broadcasting in South Florida.
Agents arrested Marquis Antonine McDonald, 23, of Fort Lauderdale, and Rasheem J. Oriley, 26, of Lauderhill, and charged both with violating Florida Statute 877.27, the unauthorized transmission to, or interference with, a public or commercial radio station licensed by the FCC. McDonald and Oriley do not have FCC licenses. Following their arrests, both men were transported to the Broward County Jail.
Authorities believe Thursday’s charges mark the first arrests in Florida using the state’s new statute concerning pirate radio stations.
The investigation between FDLE agents and the FCC began Thursday after FCC officials received a complaint from radio station WKPX-FM 88.5, saying their local radio frequency was being interfered with and jammed. The FCC, which can issue warnings concerning unlicensed broadcasts, determined that the licensed station’s broadcast was being interfered with by two unlicensed radio stations and the signal was believed to be coming from the Fort Lauderdale area.
FDLE agents and FCC investigators determined that the two unlicensed stations were operating in the area of Northeast Ninth Avenue and Northeast 11th Street, encompassing a five- to seven-mile radius.
Authorities said unlicensed radio transmissions could pose potential problems because they can interfere with Amber Alerts and emergency weather warnings for the public, as well as with other broadcasts that are essential to public safety.
On Thursday, FDLE and FCC investigators used radio direction-finding techniques and other specialized equipment to pinpoint the locations of the unlicensed radio stations to an apartment at 827 N.E. 11th St. in Fort Lauderdale. The equipment used to locate the unlicensed stations indicated that the broadcast signals were coming from within apartment 4 at that address, which is one of four apartments located on top of a two-story warehouse building.
When authorities arrived on scene, they saw two large radio antennas that were mounted in the rear of the building on the roof. They also saw a coaxial cable running from the radio antenna into apartment 4.
Agents also could hear rhythm and blues and rap music coming from within the apartment. They then obtained a search warrant and seized a 10,000-watt transmitter, antenna, two mixer boards, a computer, cell phones and other pieces of equipment.
The investigation is continuing.

I wish I had an official term to describe that type of situation -- because I see it constantly. It would soothe my little brain to have something "official" to think about when it happens. I bet there is one in some sociology book out there...
I'm talking about an explanation beyond the layman's (me) label of "I'm thinking ahead -- why didn't you do the same, asshat??" Hee. :))

I sometimes wonder what makes a person think like that... and I've realised it's not thinking at all that's the problem.
Asshat is a very silly word. ;)
