Grandma was moved from the nursing home to the hospital tonight. She had an infection on her foot, that looks like gangrene due to neglect.
She won't be going back to that home. Uncle Doug was royally pissed.. she doesn't walk enough as it is, and he Alzheimer's is accelerating. She doesn't know anyone unless she's told who it is... she doesn't remember my mother (her first-born daughter), let alone me when I talk to her on the phone.
She's going to have surgery, and that's going to make it very difficult for her to walk... she's already favoring the wheelchair a lot these days. I really hope she doesn't lose her foot.
While she's being tended to, Doug's going to look into other care facilities. I .m pretty shocked... this one looked really good.
So, what the hell is next? Newt's really a spy for the moon-men? A hot coffee enema? Something with Magda, perhaps? For Pete's sake... enough is enough, already.
