Note to self - Pick up "Merde: Excursions in Scientific, Cultural, and Sociohistorical Coprology (1999)"

The word "science," meaning knowledge, and the word "shit," from the Old English sci- tan, both apparently derive from the same ancient Indo-European root, as does the Greek word from which scatology is derived. (The modern Greek expression Skata sta montra sou is not recommended for polite society.)

It reminds me of a PBS special called "The Wonderful World of Dung". I saw it when I was but a larva, and it was really one of the formative programs of my childhood. (I was a weird kid.)

I'm glad Wilbur is not a coprophage!

I'm glad Wilber isn't one, too! Newt doesn't do it, either.

Hooray for Dung on PBS!
