I would never want a medicine cabinet that asked me "What's Wrong?" every time I open it.
HAPPY 5th BIRTHDAY LIL BIT!!
Went with Danny last night to a high school basketball game.. Cardinal gibbons vs Chaminade Madonna. His team lost... something like 48 to 28. We hit ol' Denny's up for dinner afterward.. it was a nice night, and a lot of fun for a spur of the moment sort of trip. If the pictures come out, I'll post 'em later tonight.
The irony of a Christian school with the mascot of a lion is not lost on me. Since it was girls basketball... they're the "lady lions".. wouldn't that be lionesses?
Flipside, the Cardinal Gibbons mascot is "Redskins". Why not a Gibbon? I would love to see a Monkey in red robes and a crazy pope-hat as a mascot. I'd buy the stuffed animal, t-shirt, ballcap... whatever the school had to sell.
Next three in my QueueI remember recommending The President's Analyst to GrayPumpkin, ages ago. I first saw it on super late-night TV in the early 80s.
Via Whims - "Loonatics" - revamped Loony Tunes for the new market. I think the new designs all look a bit too similar. I'll be a hard sell, but who knows? There's an off chance I'll like it.... doubtful, but a possibility.
Moment of Lyric:
Hoping I would see the world with both my eyes
Maybe I will tell you all about it

Date: 2005-02-18 03:51 pm (UTC)I'd like to see a list of the last movies, too, and if they rated 'em, even better!
But I'm a nosy little booger. :)

Date: 2005-02-18 07:56 pm (UTC)When I click on your name today & look at "recently viewed", it shows me:
The City of Lost Children
Reservoir Dogs
THX 1138: Special Edition
-- but yesteday it showed only two - and not Reservoir Dogs. That's why I assumed you just rated it. Someone else mentioned 3 movies, and only 1 shows in their recently viewed area.
If you have time later, tell me what it says in my recently viewed area?

Date: 2005-02-18 10:59 pm (UTC)what does that show you?
I see 16 of your most recently watched -
Collateral, strictly ballroom, notebook, vanity fair, Lucky Seven, box of moonlight, such a long journey, la story, Kindred Spirits: Healing Your Pet, bourne ID, maid in manhattan, picture perfect, elf, radio, freaky friday, winter/spring in providence
2 new and upcoming faves (sex in the city and mad about you! woo!)
and a column of about 10 more other favorites.

Date: 2005-02-19 05:53 am (UTC)Re: your link: Asks me to login to view the page. Once logged in, says there's an error and can't be found. :P
Okay, thanks! That told me much! My brain has to figure stuff out, or I'm bugged for some reason. ;)
- 16 is better than 3. None of you guys shows more than 3 yet. So good on the bigger cap!
- I received two of those movies 4 months ago, and only returned recently. So "recently viewed" movies must show only when they've received them back.
New & upcoming favorites:
-- Sex in the City: Isn't in my queue! I checked twice, because I took it off 1 or 2 months ago. Hm..maybe a glitch.
-- Mad About You: Is #236 on my queue. Totally random? Wonder why they don't show someone what's at the top of the queue.

Date: 2005-02-18 10:53 pm (UTC)my link was -
http://www.netflix.com/RSSFeeds?lnkctr=sbRssF
about the middle of the page was a header - Personalized Feeds
there were links to regular feeds from my queue... I went to http://livejournal.com/syn
that lets you create a syndicated feed... in the link section, paste the link you like, and if nobody's used it before (not likely, unless you have a scary stalker!) you'll get to name it as a journal, and friend it like any other lj person.
I'm happy to help you do yours if you wish!

Date: 2005-02-19 11:01 am (UTC)I made jessflix (queue) & jessflixnow (recent & shipped). My queue is 500 movies..so may not work, but I clicked on the xml icon and saw them all. How cool is that.
It looks like I can add any webpage? United media (maybe?) told LJ to stop allowing some comic feeds..I found several comics people started again anyway, but not my fav comic. :(( I just added it in..and added the feed..so happy! :))

Date: 2005-02-19 11:56 am (UTC)RSS isn't hard at all, but it's poorly documented by the tech-monkeys. :)
you can add any webpage with a RSS feed.. the purpose of the feed is to syndicate information. Some comic pages don't quite understand that, so they've petitioned LJ not to use any given feeds. Don't feel too bad if something copywritten gets cancelled.
