I never made it to the beach.. instead, I fixed George's computer for him.. set up his new system, and mirrored his stuff form the HD to the other side.. also set up SF's printer.. as best I could.. the ink cart was deady-dead. Big Kahuna was suffering a lot yesterday, everything seemed to be going bass-ackward.

Caught up with my JLU downloads. I've got the last two of season one, and the first two of this season. Cute cameo of Static Shock and Batman Beyond....Ed Asner as Granny Goodness is just too creepy, though. It's nice to see some of the second-stringers get the limelight. A GA/Black Canary mission and a Mister Miracle. Not too shabby, even if I'm not thrilled with the New Gods.

So busy yesterday, I didn't get to talk to Mel at all. I wonder if that's the start of a new pattern? Note, she didn't call me, either.

Apparently, there's a Netflix depot somewhere in Fort Lauderdale. Somewhere in 33340. Nice, I got two of my three movies today.. a one day turnaround. THX and Res Dogs.... of course now I'm paranoid that the third one got filched, but I suspect it'll be in the box this afternoon.

I get my movies the very next day, too. That rocks, lemme tell ya. Not sure where the Texas center is.

Talked to the postman who said there's so many Netflix envelopes coming through Austin, they've got separate mailing racks just for them. It helps the postal workers themselves, but as an aside it gets the DVDS to customers more quickly.

Too bad other snail mail isn't that quick from state to state.

I agree.. I've had good and bad situation.. I've sent things to Maryland that took a ludicrous amount of time to get there, or for the person to be alerted (months!)

but geting movies a day later is a hoot!

it's a first person shooter that we both play... you can do capture the flag, or run around on maps and hunt one another.
