A fine day of Mel-care yesterday... she forgot her flowers over here, but that's ok... she'll be seeing them again this afternoon or so.

Dinner with mom on the birthday... and din-din with Dave Thursday... I really hope Mel doesn't have to work on my b-day after being in the hospital on Friday. I doubt she will.. but if she does... well, I'll just take it slow and easy.

Sunday leisure bachelor-time with Newt, before Mel came by.

Newt on my lap, Sunday
Newt on my lap, Sunday. I was reading LJ on my PDa, and snapped his pic. I love his devil-ears and face!

Man, I don't even begin to understand Lazytown. Vinyl prosthetics / muppets / animation and Icelanders. I like the surreality of it, bu there's something really wrong there, too. It's a little overdeveloped as a marketing ploy. The message is good (be healthy, not lazy) but I get a power rangers / Ninja turtle / He-man *we sell lots of things!* vibe. I guess I can't begrudge 'em trying to make a buck.

My brother... I'm tired of his sickness. It really kills me to see him as damaged as he is, and knowing that there isn't a damn thing I can do for him. What's worse is the thought that what happened is self-inflicted. I selfishly want a resolution to his situation for good or bad. I just want his situation in the past. At least My issues with my mom are good again... no drama there!

How they redid the singin' in the rain. (link to the video again)

Hm... maybe a restaurant for lunch, and the dinner at the mom's house.

I've been jonesng a bit for "thanksgiving" food.. feasty-stuff. mashed potatoes, green bean cassarole, apple pie... that sort of thing.

No, no. I meant what is the Parrot that you mentioned?

Restaurant does sound nice though. Making me feel hungry.

Oh, the Parrot jungle is sort of a theme park, nature walks, lots of tropical birds and critters.

More for the nature walk than any of the shows.

I'm a bit hungry too, now! Lunchtime here!

Has there been any Lazytown merchandising? I love the overdone bad guy.. the acting is so over the top that you can't help but just love it..

I've seen a lot of merchandising.. from bottled water to boardgames.

All the stuff listed on the site seems to be Icelandic though.. I haven't seen or heard of any American advertising.. and the merchandising all seems to be positive health related stuff.. well mostly at least.. Toys and games with the underlying message. Seems to be a good message they promote overall
