Well, here I sit. Waiting for Dave and possibly Brian to swing by so we can all go see the sixth day.

Things on my mind. Talking about laws and drugs, I've heard many times that "drugs users do more time than rapists, childs molesters and murderers" in the Land of the Free. Can anyone infirm/confirm this, or give me some information about that? I'm getting ready to do some research on it myself, and figured I'd see if anyone else has already done my work for me.

I've gotten a request or two for fiction, so I'll be posting a short piece here and there, and links to things that are more than a couple of hundred words. :)

well I was trying to keep it light, but this is the latest:

The last notices I saw from the federal information act free site.

The standard term of sentance for a rapist in the united states is 10 years max.for singular offence, the parole is 5 years after term is served

The standard term of sentance for drug use and sale is 25 years, the parole is 5 years after term of sentance is served.

The standard term of sentance for drug use is 10 years and if it is a second offence, 15 with parole at 5 years after term of sentance is served.

I don't know why the paroles are set at the same length of time. I think thats just a convient term length.

The length of all offences are mailiable and will be stipulated at the hearing but those are the national averages.

The terms are also set in accordance with the severaity of the crime. If the rape occurs with exesive force there are more years added to the sentance. If there are more than one kind of drugs involved in the arrest, more charges are added, more years insue. et al.

See what I get for studying law as a hobby? ;)

manditory sentencing laws have put many first time drug offenders behind bars for as mush as 25 years with out parole, where someone convicted for manslaughter comes up before the board after 7 years. since the jails are so full of druggies, they have to grant parole more often than they would like.

I know FOR FACT that if you are caught with even a singular pot seed in Las Vegas that you can be put in jail for a minimum of 5 years IF they dont charge you for selling the stuff just cause you have it on your person. HOWEVER when I was still sharing my apartment w/ my bro in Cali thee was a man who made headlines in our town of Whittier because he had molested a child in Vegas and was parolled from his 4 year jail scentance after his third year and was trying to move to our town.
So there you have.
The real psychos DO get off easier than youre avaeage humble pot heads.

oh i jus sees stuff on this here Intrynet from time to time an i makes a note in my Dang Big Ole Head about it an it jus stays right there forever,i thinks thats why them Gov't.Folks is always doin testin on me.

keen. I knew the vast majority of welfare recips were white unwed mothers, but that percentage is very high! makes sense though, sing I imagine there are far more white folks than other, and more drunks than child molesters.
