I'm guessing the earlier posts were about the pic not showing, which it is now. Even showing, it still seems, broken. Or in a better turn of phrase, saddening. Then I'm sure there are stories to tell, which may change the impression, but still...
Thouhg in some cases, some people prefer it. Why I can't imagine, but some do based on some stories told to me by a couple of social workers. I can't imagine why, and I can't imagine that's the case with all. And yes, it does say something about society, for letting it happen, and for us mostly changing it into just the usual background noise of city life, on par with traffic noise.
sure, I can see the appeal to a degree... I was homeless for a month, and there are some freedoms. Personally, I prefer having a roof over my head, but it takes all kinds. I think the bag lady is at least a little mentally unbalanced.
