Doodled on the way home yesterday.

Recent comments (returns last 10 if your a freebie, last 50 if you're a paid user ,both posted by you, and entered into your journal. - must be logged in, of course.) If you own any communities, that works, too, via a drop down. Makes it easy for me to monitor the hut without having to flip through all the entries.

nifty! (via [livejournal.com profile] flying_blind, by way of [livejournal.com profile] waning_estrogen.)

In HoL, I'm now a level 3 Frog Director. You meet a zombie in the Spooky Forest.

"Need brains," says the zombie, "not fertilizer. Gaaaaaah."

He gives you some fertilizer.

You acquire an item: Spooky-Gro Fertilizer

(This is a can of fertilizer spray. It radiates a faint magical aura. It's funny how many things radiate a faint magical aura.)

I also really like the haiku dungeon. I never realized that Gelatinous cube had five syllables.

Outdoors, I've been seeing a lot of ace bandages and bird carcasses lately. A minimum of torque. I haven't been to a boiler room in a long time.

I want one of Bradbury's Martian Bee-bellows guns. *wheeze* *ptui* *bzzt* *Thwop*.

Clean, aloe-fresh victory is mine. Take that, bubonic plague. Hooray for hot showers!

Until later, dear journal.

Howdy!

It is pretty spiffy! I haven't seen a lot yet (note the low level) but I've enjoyed it a lot already! :)

Nice to see a fresh, friendly face!

I've done quite a few of the quests as an Accordion Thief (lvl 11 nonw - yikes!), and it just gets more and more amusing.

There's a couple of good easter eggs, and loads more hilarious wordplay to come!

Yeah, it was the phrase "Gelatinous Cube" that caught my eye while I was surfing my friendsfriends.

Mmm...

nothing like a fine gelatinous cube first thing in the morning, as long as there's some barterable meat inside!

Just wait till you actually try to offer someone meat for goods in RL!

My favourite baddies at the minute are the netspeak monsters at the Orc Chasm. Never cease to make me titter.

do they get uppity about meat? I noticed what seemed to be scammy people looking to give 2000 meat for a simple spiderweb!

Spiderwebs are important later on in the game, and high level types seem to find it harder to get them from the Sleazy Back Alley.

There's some odd stuff that commands stupid prices. It so pays to shop around.

good deal.. thanks for the warning about webs... I'll hang onto a couple of 'em.

aha, I see the common link now, it's Nomi!

I look forward to seeing them!

Is HoL what brought you by my journal? I didn't notice any common LJ-users in our buddylists.

Ooooh, those optical illusions make me feel kinda wonky. Me likes. Say, was it you who posted that .swf of the wiggly guy that you could make all bendy and sproingy by mouse-pointing on it?? I can't find the link to that and a friend asked me for it again.

P.S. I'm a Level 3 Sauceror - Parsley Enchanter...hee! They call me "Madame Bechamel" and I wield a deadly pair of Knob Goblin Tongs. Message me any time you'd like to borrow my Turtle Helmet.

oh, I think I know the one you mean... I havent's seen that draggable body in a while.

I couldn't google it quickly from work, so I'll see if I can dig him up from home, later.

Hooray for pastamancers!

teehee-- check your messages in KoL :)

I sold one or two small things (before hitting the jackpot), but I suggest that we hang on to lids, webs and crackers from here on out.

Maybe we can start our own clan when we're higher level!

that'd be fun! I haven't gotten around to joining a clan yet!

I haven't gotten any crackers.... lids make lovely thrown weapons, but I'll hang on to them.

Hey! I wanna be in yer clan too!! Have you given 5 lids to the crazy guy in the Gourd Tower yet? He'll give you a prezzie (a potion)! I dunno what it's good for, but I'm hoarding everything I find and hoping a purpose makes itself known eventually. What do you suppose "Yesterday's Meat" is for? I have two of 'em.

cool but how do we know that some of them aren't animations? some of them look like they're def. animations esp since their .gif files.

Date: 2004-07-15 01:03 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] scottobear.livejournal.com
well, I know the almonds arent an animation, because it's only got one frame in animation shop.

sometimes gifs are actually smaller than jpgs, and have tighter lines, if they're simple enough
