Ok, I set up an address with no-ip.com to check on my dynamic address form me automatically, so my streaming Newtcam will stay up, even if I reboot, and the digits change.

Nice thing about Windows 2000/XP pro... they have the full-strength IIS included. Go to Control Panel, Add/remove programs, Windows components and you'll see an IIS check box. (XP home won't let you run ASP, by the way) Maybe I'll just start hosting images from my hard drive, now? Hard to say, but if I'll have something online 24/7, why not? While you're there, highlight IIS and click Details. You can then check SMTP service, and you have CDONTS email!

My Speed touch USB was replaced for a Westell Dual connect.. all seems ok, except that it's basically a LAN rather than a dial-up connection.. the web cam stream is not happy with the settings, but regular stills seems to be doing ok. They were going to charge me for a replacement modem, but I burned the tech a copy of vice city, and free it is. Hooray for free enterprise!

Artist draws under influence of LSD -You can see the effects of a controlled experiment with someone drawing after being administered LSD-25 from the beginning to the end of his trip.

Visible is my actually very organized cork board, three-tier case management file holder, Styro-cup with my initials on it, assorted working spiral-bound notebooks for different projects, my palmtop (with smiley-face sticker), line printer, laser printer, Regular too-many-lines for us to answer phone, many post-it's strategically placed for future reference, squeeze-sheriff's star for stress, or throwing, company cell phone, whiz-bang computer system with Sleepy-newt as wallpaper, and view of sky & parking lot outside. Not shown, behind photo or off to the right are giant binder-file, Call schedule, and filing cabinets near a tacky-but-cool painting of a siamese cat. Also not visible (removed to mark a schedule) on the wall's blank space is usually my nifty big boat (yacht) calendar given to me by the hull designers across the hall.Site Meter

The artist on LSD thing is quite possibly one of my favorite links for the year. Crazy stuff.

yeah, I dig it too... amazing to see translations of what an altered mental state can show.

ooohh..thanks for the no-ip site!

the newt background is a sweetie. :0)

is that monitor up high enough for you? (we just went through some dingaling guy who gave some of our cubies the once over) ;)

notices the "sv", the face and the star squishie! where's the treat/candy jar? ;)

the treat / candy jar is under the squishy-star. It currently has malted milk balls in it. :)

The angle is bad, but the monitor is at a pretty decent height. I've been contemplating putting a phonebook under it for some extra altitude, though.

You're quite welcome for the no-ip site! going to host a webpage now? :)

forgive me..I've been up all night trying to figure out how to put a dang menu in one of my journal entries, so that I could a photo in it. What you have here is an adult loser, with eyes shutting while typing. ;)

If I get loopy..you've been warned. :D

Yay for malted milk balls. People seem to rarely talk about them, & when mentioned they don't care. I adore them..

I put a phonebook under mine at the office. Too cheapie to buy us the the real elevating monitor stands. ;)

I've got a domain I've had for about 5 years.. & I used to have a cam up that I used to just let friends check in on me with. Nooo..none of that cam girl stuff. :P Might be fun to put it back up one day.

Nah, you're no loser! you're too well-liked for that!

Yum for malted milk balls, indeed.... I hate when you get slipped a "dud-ball" where the crunchies retreat into the chocolate outer layer. (but I eat 'em anyhow.)

Yay for "slice-o-life" cams! I like being able to tune in and see what's new with folks (and to confirm that I'm not the only messy housekeeper)

Think you might put a site up with your LJ and cam on it, sometime soon?

Yeah, Phone books are the way to go.. we're a non-profit org, y'know. :) Shoestring budget, at least until we get Billy Crystal or Robin Williams as a spokesperson.

Ya, but people who stay up all Saturday night - and sleep till 6pm - when they're supposed to be back in bed by midnight for Monday... are losers for the day. :P

I forgot about the malted duds! It'as as if they had a little hold leaked in and the chocolate moisture made them all hard and sticky. The bug me, too!!

Not very soon...something would have to happen first. :0) But I still have my cam. I'm awfully noticeable of everything I do when it was on though. Always made me uncomfortable, so I only turned it on at times. Like when my hair wasn't sticking up, or I was dressed in something other than my slob clothes. :P Once it was on - walked into the bedroom to change clothes - started doing so - and suddenly remembered the cam was on. Never did that again!

Well, you best hop in bed at midnight tonight young lady! ;)

Man.. now I'm craving the desk-duds! Hmm...that's one way to look forward to going to work.

Yikes! Be wary of peepshows! I had Newt swat the cam so it was broadcasting a sideways picture from the bathroom... fortunately I saw it on the floor before shower-emerging.
