(I never got into audblog, because I was skittish about giving my password to a third party. This seems to work quite well.) I notice if you look at it from my homepage's embedded journal, it keeps my lj's color scheme, rather than my custom embed layout. Fortunately, they match fairly well.)

if you click on the phone, and have a media player that'll play ogg files (like winamp) you can hear my voice leave a silly short message.

Well, dang. I have winamp, but nothing automatically opened.. I'll try to download it and then open it with winamp.

hmm.. that's pesky. I got lucky, I guess. (I deliberately kept it short, so it shouldn't be too much trouble.) I imagne if you associate ogg files with winamp, it'll do it automatically for you in the future.

I'm getting all technophobic now. This is about the 4th time today I've tried to listen to one of these phone postings - mainly for the novelty value. But whatever I try and use to listen to it, my troll-ridden computer will not let me listen. It hates me, you see.

You can! Any paid-person can do it, though the local phone access areas are limited right now (you can always call long distance, if there isn't one near you). They'll probably add a 1-800 line shortly.

You know, I really like your journal layout, but I REALLY liked it when you had that road post in your journal that had Scotto Grotto on it. That was neat. Maybe you could enlighten me as to how you manage your journal so well with teh links and all.

sadly, the road post went when LJ decided to stop supporting flash. I greatly preferred that navigation,too.

How do you mena, manage my journal? I just sort of run with it. :)

what I mean is that I see some people who can set up multiple links on their livejournal mainpages. The thing is that I do not know how to override the "manage your journal" sector of livejournal. I don't know how to put alot of flashy things and links into my journal other than what is already offered.

Ok. In your Journal, on the side of where your posts are, you have a list of links running almost all the way down the page. Links to your blog, links to websites, etc. I would have no idea how to put them there. I don't have a webpage; only a live journal.

oh! ok, blogdex is a java thing that makes it very easy to maintain a list of links. Sadly, LJ forbids java applications (like shockwave) on livejournals. The same reason I don't have that list of links is also why I don't have my newton with signpost anymore.

There is a nother workaround, if you're wanting to go to the s2 style systm with LJ. (I don't use it, but many many users do. I'm happy with how my lj looks, so I've not seen fit to change it yet.)

Well, to be honest, that's my "phone voice" and not quite the way I sound conversationally. I've been told that I sound like a little kid on the phone, too.

I just hope that folks that do it make a point of transcribing at least part of it, or at least throw a description of thier posts... seeing a row of telephone icons with no info would drive me nuts!

Here's hoping for some international numbers for you guys!
