I'm not sure if it's real or not, but was fascinated to see it.

I'm all for tattoos, if that is what the person really wants. And can a small child really say that's what they want?

I can't help but think that's what Mommy and Daddy want, and when Baby gets older, he might be mad!

If this isn't a joke, that's some tough little girl that can lay there and get a tat at her age! Usually kids that age are pretty phobic about needles, and being held down for any reason.

I just got my first tat last week - pictures to be posted in my journal when healing is done ;)

yeah... they say they use an anesthetic cream, and smaller needles... but who's to say if it's a fakery or not?

"that's what Mommy and Daddy want"

That sounds about right to me, too. If I were really into tattoos, I would indulge my child in many temp. play tattoos if they like them that much, with a mention if they're still interested in an adult, I'd be behind them getting one.

Hope to see your tat photos soon :0)

well, if it's legit (I'm dubious, until I see more) I'm against it. I think that sort of thing should be made as a decision by and adult, and only on his own body. I know I'd be peeved if my parents tattooed "mama's little angel" or my grandparents names on my neck.

I can see putting a family crest on, but save it for when the kid is up to making a personal decision.

I do like the idea of having some common tattooo with my brother or chosen mate... but again... not as a kid.

I thought it was actually not legal for kids to get real tattoos in the states.

It was a quick first glance, I figured if I'd not heard about it on the news or something inside of a week, that it was fakery.

Good, I was feeling very sad about it. I wondered too about the pics because there was no redness, bleeding or swelling. It's a relief that it's not real.

glad it's a fraud. working at children's aid, I'm kinda torn between parental rights to do what they want with their own kids, and what crosses the line and merits reoving a kid from the parents' care (because we can give dumb parents the swift kick in the ass they really deserve)
