WOW!! I have never seen a pair like those - and I have some friends who only wear those sandals and have been wearing them for years - Were you trying to asphalt ski with those?

those are my "beaters"... whenever it looks like niclement weather and I need to just throw something on... or do gardening, or whatnot.. they've been submerged on camping trips, and tortured alll sorts of ways. all of the wear on it is geniune walking though.

I bet Birkenstock would love to use those in a commercial. They're beautiful. Makes me wish I had my old pair and makes me want to go out and buy a new pair at the same time.
