Reload page in style: site light

Ok... Where's my web page... more to the point, Newtcam? It's been down since last night.

I can tell it's still down, because I don't have my delightful background installed on the LJ page.

Today shall be a day of rest, though I'm planning on spending 8 hours of it doing little chores here and around the place.

Not too interested in LJ lately.. my mind hasn't been one of journaling. My creative juices need a shot of B12.

I want to do something self-indulgent today.. eat fatty food, spend the day playing arcade games or the like... I doubt it'll happen to the degree I want, but it's entertaining for me to think about.

Maybe just writing about the history channel is enough self-indulgence?

Dear Scottobear,

I am trying to get freefind to work on my LJ. I see you have it up and working beautifully. I'm not asking for help, honest. But I am asking when you set it up. Did you do it in the last week? Or have you had it there for a while? I'm being held up by the & problem that is apparently new. If you set yours up after LJ introduced the new stuff and got it working, then there is hope for me. If you set yours up a while back when things worked, then different story.

This is driving me nuts and I'm just desperately trying to figure out some way to make mine work... Thanks... Susan

I set mine up about a week ago, by cutting and pasting (then adding scottobear to the pastes ) via the instructions in lj-nifty, here-

Thank you and... crap! I followed the exact same instructions but hit some kind of LJ problem that is now being contested over in bugzilla-land. Sigh. I think I maybe just waited a day or two too long to make it work.

I don't think this will work, but any chance you could make your calendar style (the one you created for the search engine) public so I can copy it and see if I can make it work for me?

the calendar style is the default. :)

Oh I'm so sorry to hear about your reindexing but it does tell me that there is likely no use for me to keep futzing with this. Thank so much for letting me know.
