The pill they gave me for right before the epi was 1mg alprazolam (xanax). one hour before the procedure. I'd never heard of it used for nervous tension before. No wonder he told me to hold off on the other meds for a day before taking it.

it went well.. strangely enough, the present to myself from the toy store next door had a spine sucker in it. there's a fun little bit of coincidence.

Newt's fawning all over me, so I think it's treats for him, and then a icepack in bed for me.

I get a heapin' dose of them at my house, as well...though the other three always have to add their two cents (and two pounds of hair) to the mix. :)

Xanax makes me slur, drool...and feel just plain uncomfortable. How curious that you got it before a med procedure!

Newtie's giving me lots and lots of sweetness today. I swear that he knows what's up.

I'm feeling all right, an icepack on where the stab was, and it hurt a little, but not terribly.

I <3 Xanax. But Valium is my absolute fave. I have GERD, and from time to time, I have to get gastroscopy. They have to dose me up on Valium because I get uncontrollably anxious, like screaming at the doctor anxious.

I did ok... minor pain, but it was simpler on my bod than the back pain itself. :)

I didn't notice much of a xanax effect, but perhaps that's a good thing.
