Date: 2002-07-28 11:45 am (UTC)there are lots of people who are 20 years old and responsible enough to take care of a major body mod. i'm not going to touch whether they're old enough to make the decision to do something like that in the first place because that's all opinion, but once it's done, there are people who take very good care of themselves. it's not a "stupid kid" thing. there's an entire culture of body modification where this and other more extreme things are just part of the lifestyle, and people of all ages are involved in it.
