Puttering today, gabbing with my sweetheart, and cleaning house. downloading some gamelan and Indonesian music for my brother...it's pretty neat stuff, especially the purely instrumental pieces. dissonant and still soothing.

Once I had a music teacher whose mother was a professor of music somewhere. The mother brought gamelan as well as other instruments to play. It was pretty awesome to play, feeling the deep vibrations traveling up your arms.
