Got my X-rays, and found out I can check them out. I'm going to borrow them later, and take piccies of them, for my own records. Looks good!

Heard about Riker at work watching dvd movies on company time...I don't have any problem with it, as he's setup, and if there are no setups to do, it's mostly hurry up and wait. However, discretion might've been a good idea. Maybe playing with his setup tools, like jetletter or corel draw would've been more politically correct. I feel most folks should just pipe down, as long as stuff gets done. I fear he'll be the next flavor of the day... he's not into confrontation... I coud see him quitting if someone gets too uppity with him.

things picked up surfing tonight, waiting for 10pm to roll by -

Corpse Tupperware is tickling my morbid-funnybone.

Researchers say graveyards face overcrowding problems because dead bodies aren't decomposing properly.
Berlin undertaker Walter Mueller said: "Bodies that went into the ground 30 years ago look like they went in last week. It's like people have been pickled in preservatives."

Gonna get rain tomorrow... I want to stay home and catnap all day long. Not going to happen, but that is my desire. (one of several, really)

of interest to my sweetie, and perhaps others -

"Bess Dressed to Impress", as in Queen Elizabeth I of England.
Other Elizabethan links worth noting are some portraits of Queen Elizabeth I, a nice compilation of selected writings (among which is a response to Erik of Sweden where she blows off his proposal of marriage), and if inclined, detailed instructions on how to make an Elizabethan corset and other underpinnings.

Automatic complaint-letter generator for the lazy.

Help me figure our why this credit union's logo is a swastika made out of dollar signs.

finally, Of interest to potty-mouths (like me): Roger's Profanisaurus.

And now, good night.

I can't tell you how melancholy that title made me. I miss my sweet black cat's vocal pokes and proddings. My second favorite was when he'd remind me to do his bidding by "mer"ing at me (it was also his favorite bedtime signifier vocal styling)...my favorite...his good morning chirrrruuuup.

Treasure that little ball of fluff while he's here on earth as much as you can....I know you do.

I do.... he's a wonderful little guy, and I'm thankful to spend time with him. I'm sorry you miss your little one's sounds. *hugs*

Ack...sorry I just re-read what I wrote (off the cuff) and it sounded so despondant...very sorry.

I just think the connection between an animal and a human that is close enough and receptive enough to that animal to understand their "language" is a beautiful beautiful thing.

no worries, kiddo. :)

I'm very fortunate to have Newt around... he's a very special being, to be sure.

"Meow! Meow!" That's what Lukey said when he saw the picture of Newt. Translation- Hey look it's Newtie!
Both Cory and Lukey then proceeded to fight over the spot at the corner edge of my desk so they could see the monitor and Newt. Gotta love 'em.
