Got an acceptance notice from Stories of the Imagination...

$325, or about $0.03 a word for something I wrote over a year ago. Not going to be my regular vocation, but it's nice to be published. They only retain "First North American Serial Rights", so I still own it, and can resell it again after August (When the Spring 2002 issue sees print.)

Well, hmm.. you can say you know a published author in july/august. :) I guess I'm a professional, now that I've been paid. :)

That is oh so completely very cool! I have known plenty of people that want to be published, have tried to be published and you are the first to actually be published (in something other than a zine or a local music paper that is owned by a friend kind of thing....). Getting that acceptance letter is awesome!

Yeah, I've been trying for a while now... It's nice to have hopped that barricade, at last.... I hope the next one publishes quickly, and I don't have to wait another year!
