kowtow (kow-TOW) verb

To kneel and touch the forehead to the ground as a mark of respect; to show servile deference.

noun

An act of kowtowing.

From Chinese kou (knock) tou (head).

Not as toadyish as I'd alwasy assumed it meant. a sign of respect is a lot better than saying "yes master".

If I was a James Bond villain, I would be Hugo Drax.

I enjoy rare orchids, hunting people with dogs, and wiping humanity off the face of the globe.

I am played by Michael Lonsdale in Moonraker.
