Do the types of stories we choose to tell reveal our own strength of character, or lack thereof?

yeah, I think so, to some extent. Though I think some jokes/stories people tell are at their lowest rung of self, and don't *always* typify their normal expression of self.

Story telling the oldest art form.

The type of story depends one tells depends on one’s “purpose” for some their stories exist to hide their thoughts for others their stories open us up to share and foster ideas ..theirs as well as ours……they entertain and enthral.....a good story teller is like a master musician they gather and express everything that they have learnt and experienced to this point…..Good story tellers read their audience…..it can be said never let the truth stand in the way of a good story....and also that the truth will have only gotten out of bed to put it's boots on whilst a lie will have trqavelled half way a round the world
