Wacky day yesterday... was at work until about 2am, but I enjoyed it. interesting puzzles to solve, and I was entertained throughout the evening. Just a FYI. There is no such thing as 'political Rate' mailings in the USA anymore. I researched that for a good 5 hours yesterday on my own time. Ack. The downside of working when the Post Office is closed, and with it the help desk.

What did I eat yesterday? I forget. Chinese tofu somesuch, not memorable. More spicy stuff next time.

I wonder how many folks out there(in here?) write for other folks besides themselves. Some journals are pure entertainment for me, and others seem to be more of a logbok of 'I had a foot cramp today'.

I personally do a mix, now that I know people are out there reading it, but it's mostly for my own enjoyment. (As any hobby should be, I feel. if it was work, I'd try to get paid to do it.)

Does burger king always smell bad? the guys at work brought it in, and its gross. Like it was predigested. peeyew.

Today's food, cherry slushie, half-eaten onion rings,(before being grossesd out by the aroma.)

Burger King an appetite suppressant? Who knew?

No good toys, either. Nutbunnies.

I was thinking about what to do for lunch today and Burger King struck me as a good idea ... then I read you your little entry .... and .... well .... not so much now! =) How about Sonic ... is Sonic good??? Not many choices over here by my area .... it's that or Taco Bell ... and well, I have heard enough about Taco Bell to last a lifetime of ICK!!!

Sonic is good stuff ... probably has the same nutritional value as Burger King ... but has a keen and zingy name ... SONIC .... just sounds cool. I don't think we have any Checkers around here ... may one ... don't know .... I think I just may stick with Sonic! THX! =) You have helped me to see clearly through the much of fast food burger joints! I owe you my everything!

for yourself or for others?

your question about whether people write their journals for themselves or for others entertainment struck me as very interesting, especially in lieu of the survivor~voyeurism TV kick the country has been going through, (ironic that tonights survivor special was the same nite as this post, no?) its the same thing: do the people on the island be themselves or do crazy things for shock/entertainment value purposes? just some food for thought....i, like you, attempt to do a mix of both, but lately i've been heading more in the "today i had a foot cramp" direction, which isnt so interesting for my more regular readers....in a way though, livejournal follows the same vein as bigbrother/survivor/real world/road rules types of shows and webcameras as well....for some reason, it so interesting to delve into the personal lives of others, to feel you are part of their every day actions....interesting phenomenon, no?

The comparison between the LJ and survivor is quite a good one, and quite interesting to me too. I know that I enjoy feeling 'a part of someone's day' wether it's me reading them, or them reading me. commentary of late has gone up too, and it surprises me what some folk have by way of perspective. all told, I'm just happy to have a good time, and a lasting record of things in everyone's life.
