The corne store down the street from us bought the last huge order of Beeman's last year before Christmas and froze it!! I bought the last pack of Clove gum they had last week and stuck it in the fridge to look at.. That was my favourite gum of all time. *pout*

you can special order from www.candydirect.com. Beemans makes their gums in hits and spurts, usually around the holidays for gift giving I suppose.

PS I ordered something really funny, I am totally shocked that stupid dot com doesn't have it yet. So you will be the first on your block. When I get it...I will send it your way!

I dunno, I would miss that icy crust that built up. Besides the consistancy just wouldn't be the same I think. I dunno, maybe I will have to go and get some molds at the container store and try that this weekend. I have been hording the banana popsicles because those I haven't found again....

Pudding Pops always got that solid ice layer on the outside....I hated that. I was more of a Fudgicle kid.

The crazy Chinese convenience store in my 'hood still sells Blackjack and Clove gum (alongside the weird Asian ginseng stuff)....but their supply is sporadic. I love that stuff. The only sugary gum I'll chew.

Speaking of sugary gum....word on the Bubblicious Orange and Raspberry. Just smelling that stuff used to make my mouth water when I was a kid!

Oh, and I think you can still find Salsa Verde Doritos (they're still listed on Frito Lay's website). Josh and I ate tons of them when we were in Mexico a few years ago.....muy sabrosa! And when we got home, we bought a big bag at the grocery store. They weren't as good, though. Not as spicy...and too much cilantro. Poo. I still get a regular jones for Mexican Doritos and Cheetos (Torcaditos...spicy Cheetos...yum!)

Oompahs made a very deep impression on me. I miss them so. Peanut butter m&m's seem to close to my memory of what they where like but still fall short in the key mouth feel category.

I have been lamenting their departure for decades and have never met anyone else that remembered them.

They still make Dinosaur Eggs... I saw some the other day. Of course, Willy Wonka candy is hard as hell to find.
