Commute discussions -

Wal-mart raising wages - not terribly altruistic. more a side effect of the economy, lower unemployment, and Wal-Mart’s bottom line.

Charity Navigator – Reviews of Women In Distress (not bad), A Child Is Missing (fail but under 1 mil annual), Operation Lookout (HUGE FAIL)

and my favorite – Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals GIANT WIN. (they did quite well in the review criteria) – the group I participate in the Extra-Life Gaming Marathon  (http://www.extra-life.org/participant/scottobear)

Random term that makes me happy, echoing in my head -

amuse-bouche – I had no idea there was a word (phrase?) for this before today. Call me a philistine, dear journal, but I never even thought about it.  If asked I’d have just called it “tasty pre-meal comp.”

nemophilist – I love the solitude of the woods. Is there a similar term for mountains, I wonder?
