Apparently not valid...

The domain ":).COM" is an invalid because :) contains invalid characters.

Domain names can only contain letters, numbers and the hyphen ("-").
The name cannot start or end with a hyphen.
.com, .net and .org domains can be no longer than 67 characters.
Other top-level domains have their own length limitations.
The part of the name before the .com, etc., must be at least 2 characters.

nope, is not usable, and i know this from a good source, my hubby is in charge of the mexican top level domain name (.com.mx,.org.mx, etc)
