It seems that someone in North Carolina ran up a few hundred dollars worth of charges on Allison’s credit card today – Thankfully, we caught the bugger in time and managed to get any false charges nullified. A replacement card should be coming soon. I suspect either something happened either at the yarn party or via the Internet recently.

Our bank was incredibly helpful and quick to act. Kudos to them.

If I find out who did the crime… well, the batman has the right idea.

I'm glad it was resolved for you her so quickly! Fraud seems to be on the rise. Someone used my debit card number at a Walmart in Texas in October 2011, then someone used the new card number at a Walmart in New England in April 2012. I was shocked that it happened so close to each other after never having it happen at all. Luckily, the bank caught it ASAP and put a stop on the card right after those first transactions. Unluckily, it meant I was SOL while I waited for the new cards.
