I think they'd look much like they do now, except the seat would be on backward and there'd be a huge rear-view mirror :D

Unless our ankles bent the other way, too, I don't imagine that they'd look much different. Maybe the peddling gears would be set a bit more forward on the frame so that you had better leverage when you wanted to put some oomph into your ride?

Hmm... I wonder how well we'd deal with a thick layer of skin across our bodies, instead of just on the feet?

Maybe ... :) who knows... maybe instead we might've become like the wheelers, from the oz books... hands and feet have tough fingernail material, forming a wheel & spoke..

It was pretty good.. pretty loyal to the books, too. I remember going to see it in the theatre..
