Oh, man. I am so tired of being phoneless at home. Apparently the repair guy came over, and the landlord told him to take off. Again. Son of a... well, anyhow. Long story short, I still have no phone, on day #3 of being stuck at home, unable to hit the net, tuck in my girl, play age of kings, check my voicemail...

Fortunately, I was able to gab with Ornj today at work... I miss her so much tonight though.

Called for repair to come by tomorrow morning, between 8am and noon. So I'll miss my walk, and may be a little late to work, but I'll have the phone by the weekend, by gum.

I hope your phone gets fixed soon, Scottobear! But in the meantime, here's a silly phone-related anectdote for you:

Our phone went out for roughly 10 days in November. Thing is, it took us 3-4 days before we even noticed! Why? We're new to town and it's mainly the telemarketers who ring us up. I mean, as long as we've got our cable modem, we be a happy trio...

I finally noticed our phone was out the day I had to call a doctor. Good ole Jef found a way to hook up the phone; the only hitch was I had to stand in the backyard to use it. It felt so surreal to be standing in the lawn watching the morning sun reflect off passing seagulls' bellies as I made my phone calls that brisk November morning.

How wonderful that you aren't as phone-dependant.. I need to make aobut 3 voice calls daily, on top of net attacks...

Glad you could be leisurely about phoning the doc! Nice to have a tech-smartie around. :)
