Hot fuzz was just *perfect* for BHK and me last night… it hit all the right buttons and rang all the right bells that were both appropriate and laugh out loud funny. THAT is what grindhouse should’ve been for its genre. If anything, I liked it better than Shaun of the Dead and now I’m looking that much forward to the next die hard movie. Live Free Die Hard, or some such.

Saw a neat Silver Surfer standee (more than full-size sculpt of Norrin Radd on his board) - seen below. Looks a lot better than it photographed.

The local cheeburger cheerburger has revised the menu, adding things like peanut butter to the burger toppings, as well as a PB&J shake, to BHK’s delight. I tried a little pb on my veggie burger, but I think that I prefer my standard: honey mustard, onion rings, cheddar cheese, lettuce and onion. I dug the shake, but also preferred my chocolate cherry.

I unlocked the last game in WTF – a bell-ringing game that uses the left and right paddles. (still haven’t gotten all of the trinkets, though.) I think my fave games are the simple hand-eye ones like four finger and lumberjack and the mastermind phone numbers.

I had a jamocha shake with lunch today. It was tasty, but now I’m overfed.

I didn't get on with Hot Fuzz. It was too slow and didn't get going till 15 minutes from the end when it actually picked up and became funny. Then it ended.
Just didn't float my boat, which is weird because I love Shaun of the Dead, which was a real "classic" IMO. Or rather it will be.

Maybe I'm just the odd one out because everyone else liked it.

I've heard the slow thing from other folks, so you are not alone on that.
Debating on seeing this one, while everyone I know loved "Shaun of the Dead", Katt and I where pretty "meh" about it, kinda cute, but still don't grt what all the fuss is about on that one.

Wait wait wait---I didn't know gettting you a kilt was an option! I didn't know you'd consider one--we didn't discuss this. Hey let's not dismiss this so readily. I think we should discuss the kilt option in great detail. Maybe one with a "war hammer" belt loop. ;D

I can see where you could get bored with Shaun.. the pacing was certainly variable there... I pretty much dug hot fuzz, though. I'd say it hits every cliche on the head nicely.

The town sent out an email with a link to town yard sale pics--luckily we aren't in any---but they are cute to look at---doesn't look like we missed many sales.
