Lane came back from her honeymoon three episodes ago and told Rory that her mother was right, sex is terrible. Apparently, she and Zach only had sex once and on the beach and it sucked. She finds out later in the episode that she's pregnant.
Then in last week's episode she told Zach, he didn't really acknowledge it, but at the end they were both saying that they were terrified and that it sucked, but they were happy about both having the same feelings about it.
