I am of a positive mindset in a melancholy time... got news of a quiet patch ahead, but I'm confident of things working out for the best in the long run. I hope that they'll seem that way along the short and middle run, too.

In related news, I do believe that dreams can come true. I've seen it happen, and for that I'm happy. It continues to be a good week for dreams.

Lunching with mom after work, catching up on family business, and will generally gab. Remembered what was going on on Friday - maybe a get together with some old coworkers for a brew, maybe karaoke? Maybe not.. those things tend to evaporate. I want to visit with Kev again before he hits gitmo, too.

Blood donation and shots went well. I'm glad I've worked out a schedule where doing platelets is feasible.

Superman Slurpees at 7-11! I think Sucking the brains out of Yoda made for a better mug, but this one is nicely geeky, too. I wonder why they didn't do this with the Batman/x-men movies?

Note to self, do not iron while sleepy... looks like I set the heat too high and treated a blend like cotton. Ah well, excuse to get a fresh shirt or two! I was more peeved that I had to iron *two* shirts, rather than carbon-scoring the first one. Better the shirt than me!

If I had posted only one entry day for each my 8384 entires... that'd be just about 23 years worth of journal posts. Yikes.

Second Life updated to 1.10.1 yesterday. No noticble change, though bug fixes:
* Improved avatar lighting to more closely match in 'nearby lights' and 'sun/moon only' modes
* Improved flexible attachment behavior while crossing a region boundary

Bro swung by work yesterday, looking for some coin "for gas". He's got his calendar call tomorrow, so we'll see how that goes. He was looking much cleaner and in order than when he visited mom.

It is a bit pesky... not likely to fit in any car drink holder, either.... it does look like something you'd find in the fortress of solitude, though! Complete with freaky-poop-looking thing under a clear bubble!

oh and several moths ago i got me self a steamer.......and so.....i dont iron anymore, it is like seconds an a shirt is done!!!!!!!!!!!! best thing i ever got!

i do the boys dress pants all the time, shirts so fast and no fuss no muss.....maybe next time your out and about, notice the guy or gal steaming away in the store.....and ask questions, i dont know, i love mine, it will steam anything, and has a gadget you pop on for creases.....i do the pants hanging from hanger them swiftly crease them, they do wonders on the abayas too, hey i should send you a video of me doing it, you can have a see how my steamer works video! hahahhahah ok.....maybe not!
