Ran out of steam yesterday...worked late, and it sort of trimmed an hour and a half off my evening schedule... tucked in at about eleven, and though I was tied, it felt like it was only about 9:30.

Midweek. Next week, I have Monday off from the office, but will have to take call all day. Mixed blessing.

Contemplating good books to read aloud to another. The Hobbit is a good one, but recently read.

Reminds me of a quote... There are worse crimes than burning books - One of which is not reading them.

It reminds me of when I was in Philly. I fell in love. In Rittenhouse square they had a flower show with flower vendors, artists and food. the Animal welfare league had brought some kittens, cats and dogs to try and adopt out. There were 2 brothers in a cage. One black very docile and a black and white one wild as wild can be. The docile little black one sat on a bed made from a grocery store meat tray and the black and white one proceeded to pull it out from under him. When the black and white one got bored with that he reached into the next cage and whalloped a marmalade on the nose. As he cavorted and bounced I noticed he had poo stuck to his haunch. I mentioned to the volunteer at the booth how he had poo stuck to him and it seemed to be indicative of his mischief character and she rolled her eyes and tried to get me to adopt him. If I could've gotten calm enough to take him on Amtrak hidden in my luggage Pye would've had a brother.

No no it can't. You haven't seen the Pye litterbox yet--poo is almsot always horrfying---at least to the one changing the litterbox and trying to keep a cavorting cat out of it.

Newt's poo isn't so scary, now that he doesn't have kitten-milk-formula stinkypoops. Fortunatley, Newt will (usually) wait for me to finish the scooping for him to refresh the box.

Yes I am a tiny tiny tiny bit mischievous I suppose. I don't usually get upset at the product of mischief either--I usually laugh---even when it is my Amish doll who has been scalped by sharp little teef and left laying on the floor like a homicide victim, or my new book that has edges chewed or even my new throw rug that has been lovingly customized by repeated clawing. Nope I'm usually able to laugh all this off and pronounce the mischief maker the cutest little destructive force ever!

But yes he is a stealth attacker---his favorite past-time is jumping from a height driectly onto my chest in the middle of the night thus knocking the wind outta me. I've learned to sleep on my stomach with the black witchcat around.

Points out how your wild Tahitian gorilla on a snow plow story gets a lot of air play.
Attempts to prove there are no wild Tahitian gorilla in attempt to cast doubt on your story.

It was busted, though analyzing the sound they found that it had very similar wave patterns to an echo, so at times it may be able to distinguish between the echo and the real thing, which possibly is the source of the myth.

Ah the things you can learn from a duck. I have also witnessed stag male ducks mating with each other when there are not enough females around in our neighborhood. We have a pair that have been together for a while that I named Walt and Wilde. One of these days I'm gonna make an all make duck porn and send it to Pat Robertson.

Might have something to do with it?
