Hmmmm. I did many years on the walk and bus system. Finally got my drivers license at 21, and I don't think I'd ever go back. I once got stranded near the corner of Federal and Oakland in Massage School uniform of all white, in a torrential downpour. The two hour bus ride home was very very chilly.
I do miss having time to read and nap during travel though...of course, I get to sleep much later now.
