There is a lot of wildlife around the lake, too... koi in the water, as well as giant iguanas, ibis, ducks and cranes.

wow... all we get round here are ducks that have grown too cocky from years of being fed bread by the locals... giant iguanas sounds interesting...

they're pretty neat, but maybe large enough to be a little scary for some people. They run away when people get too close, but I'd say the bigger ones could be at least 20 lbs!

It's actually really nice out right now... gentle breezy and the balcony is shaded. Nice place to sit and read, but I don't let Newtie out there, lest he decide to pop a screen and take a 3-story leap.

He's never done anything like that before, but he doesn't know better, either.

That little red area is where folks grill and have little community feeds now and again... I hope they don't BBQ the iguanas!

Civilized? hmmm... not sure, but the grotto is a lot more bright!
