AFD 2011

Happy April… I can be an April Fool.

I need not tell you how much I am not a fan of practical jokes, dear journal. Thankfully, none were played on me or in my vicinity today, or in recent memory.

Here we are, Friday again. A new day, a new month, a weekend coming soon.

Squirrels are already everywhere, still chubby from all the winter storage they planned for and whatever we give them as scraps if something isn’t quite right in the fridge, bread/apple/salad-wise. I know that they’re just rats with cute tails, but I have sympathy for rats, too.

Goals for tonight – play some qwirkle cubes, maybe a little lost cities, enjoy the family.

Goals for this weekend – exercise, get a haircut, get allergy shots, get chores done, get comfortable for the week ahead.

Looks like Ubuntu 10.10 is stable on little eee – the last update gave the netbook a conniption, but it seems like now we’re in better shape.

BHK is visiting with Adam and Eric today – I’ll have to miss that, due to trips to the doc. I hope to see ‘em soon – it’s been far too long between visits.

Note, to add to my visit list – hirshhorn museum / sculpture garden if only to see Last Conversation Piece. I saw a smidgen of it between stops at L’enfant and the bus recently, and it makes me want to see more – I think that there are a few Picasso sculptures there as well -  I love living this close to the Smithsonian, and would love to visit all of ‘em in time.
