When I got home last night, they were tearing down the little 2-bedroom house in my backyard. That's a shame... I think that little building had been there since the 1930s or before. Cute little Key West-style place done in white with navy blue trim. I can now look out my bedroom window and see two streets over.

I rather think that I preferred the cozy sense of privacy that I had before, but we'll see if I change my mind over the next couple of days. I wonder how this'll effect security and flyby factor for the next major storm?

The street lamp bleeds a little mor [brief visit from Newt-foot on keyboard - /././../] e illumination over now.

Newt was watching the earthmover equipment with fascination...I wonder what he thought they were, from his point of view? I suspect he was more interested in the noise that they were making than anything else.

I didn't even know the guy in the house had moved out. My brother used to hang out with the tenant's son, a bodybuilder guy that eventually went to jail for some sort of assault / battery charge on a cop.
