I wonder how many people know what a sasquatch is? I have a cat that I named Sasquatch because he has extra toes and hence, big feet. Of course we always just call him Squatch or Squatchie :)

Well, my squatchie doesn't have feet *that* big :) But he has 2 extra toes on each front paw and 1 extra on each back paw. And he's all fluffy and cuddly and stuff. When my scanner decides to rejoin the living I'll post a picture for you :)

Were the hemmingways all the colour? or did they all just have extra toes? I can't really remember.
Squatch is officially a tortoise (black) domestic long hair, but it is very obvious that he is part maine coon. He looks just like one (colour, fur, markings, extra toes), and acts like one - he comes when he is called, he is attached to one person (me), he makes a funny chirping/cooing sound... But maine coons tend to be big cats and under all that fluff Squatch is really small - only about 5 pounds.

Nope... 5. Hang on, I'll see if I can find him and weigh him... (gone looking)..
.. (found him sleeping in a basket of clean laundry)... my not-so-good scale says 8 pounds, but a couple years ago at the vet, he weighed 5.5. From the time he was a new kitten the vet has been after me to get him to eat more. I guess it is finally (after 8 years) working :)

Yikes! I guess he'll be a good size, then :) Does that make him too big to sleep on your head? Squatchie sleeps on mine - as long as I can stand it, anyway. With his big coon tail it makes me look like Davy Crocket :P
