I'll buy that, given the university area, etc, but I have to wonder if the statistic's numbers were skewed by where the people were polled, or number of tats, etc.
Most folks I know that have gotten ink have more than one.
I'd think that the counts are higher in less conservative areas... I suspect the more conservative folks with body art are either ex-military or extremists (like skinheads etc).
I've dated more girls with tattoos than without, to th epoint where I find it to be a pleasant change of pace when I'm with someone that *doesn't* have something added cosmetically.
I wonder how long before tats hit critical mass, and the cool kids think it's passe, or even overly trendy to have one?
