Relived, but not fully unwound.
Magda and I will be spending much of the long weekend together (Thursday night - Monday at the airport, give or take.)
Shooting Began in South Beach for "Miami Vice : The Movie"
The skies opened up and the rain came down in heavy, thick drops again last night. I hope bro is on high ground. He's a solid camper, and I think he's got good cover.
I notice that Lj post security is using openID already. very interesting... I'm still screening, but accepting entries from that source too, for the time being. I wonder how popular that'll be?
Freaky falling puppet-body over spheres. you can pick the puppet up with the mouse, and toss it.
Florida On Florida is a catalog of digital materials related to Florida. It includes all sorts of items including maps, photographs, postcards, books, and manuscripts.
Man, the New River and Las Olas looked pretty different back in the day. A bit later, Las Olas in 1939.
Moment of Lyric:
His goal in life was to be an echo
Riding alone, town after town, toll after toll
A fixed bayonet through the great southwest to forget her
She appears in his dreams
But in his car and in his arms
A dream can mean anything
A cheap sunset on a television set can upset her
But he never could
Remember to remember me
Standing still in your past
Floating fast like a hummingbird
His goal in life was to be an echo
The type of sound that floats around and then back down
Like a feather
But in the deep chrome canyons of the loudest Manhattans
No one could hear him
Or anything
So he slept on a mountain
In a sleeping bag underneath the stars
He would lie awake and count them
And the gray fountain spray of the great Milky Way
Would never let him
Die alone
Remember to remember me
Standing still in your past
Floating fast like a hummingbird
Remember to remember me
Standing still in your past
Floating fast like a hummingbird
A hummingbird
A hummingbird

Which 10 celebrities would you not kick out of bed?
Hm. Tricky. Do these all count as celebs? A lot are B-list, or less. Honestly, my lust is monogamous when I'm dating someone. I'm a freak like that.
- Salma Hayek
- Nicole Kidman
- Jacklyn Smith
- Alyson Hannigan
- Lucy Lawless
- Judy Strangis
- Jennifer Sky
- Jennifer Love Hewitt

Now tag 5 people to do the same? Oh, anyone who wants to. No pressure.
I uploaded a few archival piccies to my flickr account. Newt, mostly, but a few other surprises, too.
SCIENTISTS have created eerie zombie dogs, reanimating the canines after several hours of clinical death in attempts to develop suspended animation for humans.
US scientists have succeeded in reviving the dogs after three hours of clinical death, paving the way for trials on humans within years.
Pittsburgh's Safar Centre for Resuscitation Research has developed a technique in which subject's veins are drained of blood and filled with an ice-cold salt solution.
The animals are considered scientifically dead, as they stop breathing and have no heartbeat or brain activity.
But three hours later, their blood is replaced and the zombie dogs are brought back to life with an electric shock.
Plans to test the technique on humans should be realized within a year, according to the Safar Centre.
However rather than sending people to sleep for years, then bringing them back to life to benefit from medical advances, the boffins would be happy to keep people in this state for just a few hours,
But even this should be enough to save lives such as battlefield casualties and victims of stabbings or gunshot wounds, who have suffered huge blood loss.
During the procedure blood is replaced with saline solution at a few degrees above zero. The dogs' body temperature drops to only 7C, compared with the usual 37C, inducing a state of hypothermia before death.
Although the animals are clinically dead, their tissues and organs are perfectly preserved.
Damaged blood vessels and tissues can then be repaired via surgery. The dogs are brought back to life by returning the blood to their bodies, giving them 100 per cent oxygen and applying electric shocks to restart their hearts.
Tests show they are perfectly normal, with no brain damage.
"The results are stunning. I think in 10 years we will be able to prevent death in a certain segment of those using this technology," said one US battlefield doctor.

Anytime I mention Joan was in Sixteen Candles, no one believes me! ;)

Date: 2005-06-28 05:16 pm (UTC)Things to note:
-Zombie dogs = freakily awesome.
-I spent many a minutes tossing the ragdoll woman through the spheres, and putting her in compromising situations.
-"Scott and Magda" has a nice ring to it, indeed.
-I like the crab picture...A LOT.

Date: 2005-06-29 07:47 am (UTC)I've just noticed there's a pattern of facial similarities that are more familiar to me than others. Many of those same peeps also have a body scent that is familiar to me, and a personality that goes well with mine. Took me awhile to pick up on it...but finally figured it out it was trying to tell me something. A "self seeking like" thing people do when finding a mate..vs. just hanging out/dating. :0)
I get all into stuff...shutup! :D

Date: 2005-06-29 12:28 pm (UTC)Hmm.. I wonder what similarities they have for me... faces range from round to angular. Same for eye design.
Maybe I just have a pretty broad definition of beauty. They do all have fairly broad (rather than narrow) features and a nice smile/cheekbones.
I do seem to lean to long brown/black hair, or shoulder-shorter red hair.
could be something to it!

Date: 2005-06-29 03:16 pm (UTC)Two things stood out (to me) w/ yours. None looked to be tiny to medium chested. Looked to be medium to large...by what I think those sizes are anyway. :0)
Then, just one (Judy) is what I call "cute". "Cute", is my term for anyone w/ soft, or even young-ish features, even if not young. The rest were all what I call "Pretty", which is my term for angular, or mature looking, no matter their age.
Only 10 chicks to guess from though... & also know your last, very long-term girlie had a softer/cute face...rather than angular. :0)

Date: 2005-06-29 04:41 pm (UTC)As for choosing a mate, I do go for personality in the long haul.. I'm willing to talk to and chitty chat with anybody. I've been known to say "that's an odd couple" when I get along with half of them, but not the other one. :)
I'd say that in reality, most of the girls I've dated have had "cute" rather than "pretty" features. I like both, but ussually get along better with cuties.
