6515 Remainder of the day
Mar. 7th, 2004 12:03 amHopped the city cruiser to tri rail, from the las olas stop, and took the 2pm (Sat.) Fort Lauderdale up to Palm Beach. Kev and I got together, exchanged Christmas and birthday gifts, dined on Bud's fantastic french fries, and watched the newish Looney Toons movie on DVD. Paul and Bheesh skipped out, as is the normal pattern, but Brad came by for the movie, and left shortly afterward. We played some Simpsons' Road Rage and Mechassault head to head on his Xbox, and had a good time catching up and shooting the breeze. He's got a 50-inch lcd TV that makes playing games quite a hoot.
Karen has a new boyfriend that drives down to see her all the time from Cocoa Beach... Lauren Had a fourth child, and apparently she's getting her tubes tied now. Al looks like he's lost some weight, too.
Felix and Jinxie are big now, and Dexter is just about a hundred pounds. Strange that Indy and Tippy are long gone now... Ripley is an old Maid now, and still the bottom rung on the pack's totem pole... even servile to the kitties.
The gifts I received were Command and Conquer:Generals (for Christmas) and Call of Duty (for my birthday). Looks like I've moved from driving and throwing games to some war for a while. Not sure which I'll run with, first... probably call of duty.
I lent Kev Tron 2.0 and Simpsons: Hit and Run to keep him busy now that he's just coming down off of some of his older games.
So, say you were meeting a new person--blind date, new friend, who knows. And you wanted them to have some idea of what kind of person you are, and who you are. But you can't actually tell them in so many words. Instead, you have to give them a box, with a dozen things in it for them to look at/read/listen to/taste/whatever. What would you put in the box?" (A copy of your journal or a link to your LJ would be the same thing as just telling them directly, yourself, so that's not allowed.

Date: 2004-03-06 10:22 pm (UTC)That list is pretty neat. I'll have to think of some stuff for mine. I put Dandilion Wine on my wishlist - I haven't heard of it before now.
haha...I just went to see the photo of Rowlf...very cool. :0)

Date: 2004-03-06 11:11 pm (UTC)Those were the first things that leapt into my head.. I'm still not sure where I have that yeti-pic of me. It'd be great to see your list, too!
Dandilion wine is the first book that I remember losing myself in. Very easy to be immersed in it, and the flavor is very scotto.
Rowlf is wonderful. The only muppet I know that drinks beer, and can be a bittersweet hero, too.

Date: 2004-03-07 07:17 am (UTC)I'm hoping for a CoD expansion at some point.. or at least the release of mod tools so some decent mods can come out.. They have been tight lipped and its annoyed the modding community somewhat
